2007, November: “Since I started participating in the Pagosa Healing Rooms in October, profound spiritual and physical healing has taken place for me.  After the spiritual roots of my physical diseases were identified, repented, renounced and replaced with blessings, my illnesses all have decreased significantly.  Asthma:  My peak flow meter reading went from 320 to 400. I have cut my steroid medicine use in half.  I have not used Albuterol again. I was able to hike in 23 degree temperature uphill for 40 minutes without using Albuterol, which I never would have been able to do before.  Degenerative osteoarthritis and osteopenia:  I used to get up three to five times a night because of pain.  I have not had to get up once since starting the coming here!  I used to take 800 mg of Tylenol twice per day and Celebrex once a day.  Now I take just the Celebrex about two times per week. Hypothyroid:  I was taking Synthroid that cost me $30 per month and now I am able to take levoxothyrine that costs $14 per month and it’s working effectively for the first time. JESUS HEALS!” 2008, January:  “I was very sick with the flu and, because I had been given a shot to prevent this from happening, I was not prepared for sickness.  All the medicine that was in my house was not working.  I had just moved within the last two weeks and there was so much to do. I was praying and reading God’s word, and the same thought kept coming up:  Why should I ask God to heal me of such a little thing like the flu? I was reading the book of Luke, reviewing some verses from Sunday’s service.  Then I saw in Luke 4:38, 39:  ‘Now Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her.  So he bent over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her.  She got up at once and began to wait on them. Could it be that we should ask for all healing, not just the ones the doctors or medicine can’t heal?  I should ask him about all things!  This was the beginning of a busy day of reading about Jesus’ healings while he was on this earth. When I was at the Healing Room, I was prayed over about several things in my life.  That night my temperature didn’t rise and I had no flu symptoms from that night on. Thank you, my Lord, for people who believe in all healing.  I will serve you and do your will.” 2008, February:  “I was supposed to have gone to my doctor in Durango on Thursday morning and I was feeling like I might have to change my meds, which I don’t like to do.  I had to cancel my appointment due to snow.  I was feeling desperate and then remembered it was Thursday, and the Healing Rooms were open that night.  I called and made an appointment and was blessed by the many prayers spoken over me. I realized the next morning that many negative things had been lifted from me.  I experienced a joy and a high that I had only experienced once before a year before at the healing conference held at Restoration Fellowship. The Holy Spirit began giving me praise songs.  I don’t always experience that kind of ‘heavenly high,’ but I still have the joy and peace.  I did not have to change my meds, praise God! One day I called the Healing Rooms to let them know I had to house and pet sit across town and couldn’t be there Thursday night.  Stan Gill answered the phone and asked how I was doing.  I told him I was feeling an overwhelming tiredness.  (It actually had been going on for several days.)  Stan began to pray for me over the phone.  Later that evening, I realized I was not tired anymore!  I stayed feeling like I had more energy. God is very powerful and I thank him for blessing Pagosa Springs with the Healing Rooms.” 2008, July:  "I had been having severe stomach pains and felt very weak for several days.  Jesus told me to read Proverbs 3.  I came to the Healing Rooms and received prayer.  One gentleman heard Jesus say that Proverbs 3:5-6 was for me!  He asked if I had been anxious about my future.  I said, 'Yes.'  Once I repented to God for leaning on my own understanding, my stomach pain completely left and I had fresh energy!  Thank you, Jesus, and thanks to his servants on the Healing Rooms team!"  2008, July:  "My three-year-old son had been sick with the flu for three days when we brought him into the Healing Rooms for prayer.  He was encouraged to say, 'Jesus heals me.'  Afterward, he looked much brighter and had more energy.  He said he felt better.  When we left the church, he confidently said, 'Jesus healed me!'" 2008, July:  "For three days I was incapacitated with pain in my back, to the point I could not think or concentrate.  Coming to the Healing Rooms helped me to realize that it was caused by an attack from Satan regarding my self-esteem.  My pain has vanished and the chest pains I was having are now gone also." 2008, July:  "Last winter I came to the Healing Rooms to stand in for prayer for my daughter, who was taking 20 credit hours in college.  She had a professor who was speaking word curses over one of her classes.  It seemed like almost an impossiblity for her to have time to study and keep up with all her classes.  This summer I learned that she made the dean's list for that semester!"
