Much apathy and guilt has characterized our previous attitudes toward missions. Some seem to have no vision at all to reach beyond the local area in sharing the life of Jesus. Others have felt that they weren’t really serving Jesus unless they "surrendered" to be a missionary.
Neither the kingdom of God nor the world needs any more cause-oriented missionaries. Those who give their lives for a cause, no matter how noble, are paying too high a price for what they accomplish. We are not called by a cause, but called to follow Jesus and then assigned by Him to areas of need.
When it happens this way, we lose the tendency to condemn others when they aren’t involved in our cause. The one thing we all have in common is His life in us. It is inconceivable to think His heart could be in any man and that man not show compassion for those Jesus died to save.
We see part of our assignment in the body to be a "sending station" for those who have experienced the restoration of God’s grace and now want to share it with the world. Each person is encouraged to discover his own assignment and begin in that direction.
Missions become a way of life - not just a program - for the healthy believer. The Holy Spirit produces a thoroughly spiritual and genuinely natural person to express the live of God to those who walk in the darkness of deception. We believe God sends happy warriors, not reluctant inductees, into His harvest fields.
