The heart of the Father is for personal healing and restoration for each of his children. Our teams have gone through very intense training on how to minister to others, as well as having received personal ministry themselves. We utilize the tools and training of Cleansing Stream Ministries and Restoring the Foundations to provide individual prayer ministry where inner healing and freedom can happen.
We recognize that there are basically four problem areas that need ministry in order for us to achieve freedom and healing. 1. Sins of the Fathers and Resulting Curses. When a person sins by putting their trust in something other than the true and living God, the curse contained within the second commandment is activated: “visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me” (Exodus 20:5). Since everyone who sins this way ‘hates’ God (i.e., is disobedient), there is no escape from this curse for any of us, since all of us have ancestors who have sinned. Curses are the penalty, or judgment, for sin. Jesus shed His blood on the cross so that the power of these curses might be broken. We must each personally appropriate what Christ did on the cross for us, into each area of sin in our lives, including the effects of the sins and curses of our ancestors. Since the appropriation is not automatic, we must receive it. God establishes the pattern for this in Leviticus 26:40, and demonstrates this in Daniel 9, Ezra 9, and Nehemiah 2 and 9. 2. Ungodly Beliefs (UGBs). UGBs come from lies we have believed and are formed from life’s circumstances, especially hurtful situations. When we experience a hurtful situation, we begin to form decisions about people and judge them, having expectations about what they are like and how they will treat us. UGBs by definition are contrary to God’s Word, His nature and His character. We can convert our UGBs into Godly Beliefs through a process of confession, repentance and renewing our minds as is commanded in Romans 12:2. 3. Soul Spirit Hurts. The Word says that Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted (Luke 4:18). Hurts might be right at the surface or they may be buried so deep that the person has forgotten all about them. But they are still there and they affect what we do, what we say, how we act, and how we relate to others, every day. As we ‘wait upon the Lord’ with ‘listening prayer’, the Lord reveals the hurts of our soul and spirit that He wants to heal and then He heals what He reveals. 4. Demonic Oppression. After we have joined Jesus in what He is doing our lives to bring freedom and healing to the first three areas of ministry, the various demonic strongholds keeping us in bondage can be disassembled and removed (Mark 16:17).
As we apply ministry to these four problem areas, deep and lasting freedom and healing take place. Anyone desiring ministry for an issue, please contact Sharon DeBoer at 749-0584 or sharonddeboer@ymail.com to schedule an Issue Focused Ministry Session, lasting about three hours with one of our teams. Everyone on the team has been approved and released for ministry by the Pastor.
