Jeremy, Elea and Family are transitioning into their new assignment in Airlie Beach, Australia, where they are starting a new YWAM base for evangelism. They are thankful that there are five new staff members committed to work with them and are making plans for their first conference on evangelism.
June Ministry Update:
"We arrived here in Airlie Beach the 17th of April, on our 5th wedding anniversary. It took us just about a week to find an apartment that we could move into. It is a small and very nice community, and we can walk to the only church and the stores. For the first time ever, Daniel has a backyard that he can play in. He loves throwing baseballs and kicking the soccer ball, and we've had to ask the neighbor for the balls a few times.
The first week of May, we went north to Townsville. YWAM had a national leaders meeting there for six days. One of the last days, they had a time of commissioning people into their new roles. We were commissioned to be the Ministry leaders of Airlie Beach. It was a special time, and many people prayed for us and gave us very encouraging words.
We now have five people who have "yes" to coming to help us start YWAM Whitsunday. Please pray for their finances to come through. Carlos, from the Netherlands, joined us a month ago. He has been helping with our web page. Carlos is a graphic designer, and he has many good ideas. We are alsp getting help from the guys down in Brisbane...so it should be up and running in a couple of weeks!
We really enjoy the church we joined here. It is a small Holy Spirit filled Baptist Church. They are very friendly and make newcomers feel so welcome. They got very excited and said it was about time that YWAM came to Airlie Beach permanently. For us, that was another of the many confirmations that we are in the right place.
Every Monday morning at 6:00 am the men of the church meet to pray. Jeremey really enjoys it and goes every week. It has helped him get to know the heart of the pastor and to also share our vision for Airlie Beach (aka Whitsundays) and the mission field with them. There is a Christian school here. The principal has such a heart for the students. Most of the students are from non-Christian families.
Jeremy and Elea seek your prayers for this new ministry. They are grateful for the continued support you gave them in the Central Asia country where they ministered, and want you to know that they are excited about this new season God has called them to in their commitment to spread the gospel around the world.
